Sources tell FanSided that the Milwaukee Brewers are expected to call up Keston Hiura from Triple-A Nashville again, giving him another chance to stick in the majors.

This season has not gone well for Keston Hiura, with the talented young infielder bouncing back and forth between the majors and minors as he tries to find his footing. Across two separate stints with the Brewers this season he’s slashed .130/.217/.220 across 122 plate appearances with 48 strikeouts and just seven extra-base hits.

However, between those stints, he’s absolutely raked the Triple-A pitching with the Nashville Sounds — a .403/.506/.722 slash line with five home runs and 14 RBI in 72 at-bats. Now the Brewers are expected to be bringing him back to the big league club in the hopes he can stay for good.

Is Keston Hiura finally ready to break his slump with the Brewers?

The Brewers have maintained a positive attitude with Hiura throughout his struggles with an anonymous Milwaukee player telling FanSided last week, “The environment in the big leagues now, everything is hard on hitters. Never been a bigger gap between Triple-A and the big leagues. So that didn’t really help him on what he needs to do to succeed here consistently.”

Hiura is too talented to keep struggling the way he has and the Brewers are hopeful that the second stint in Nashville is what he needed to finally turn the corner.
