The Houston Astros were able to send the White Sox home and Carlos Correa responded to Ryan Tepera’s “disrespectful words with no facts.”
Another Astros game, another reference to Houston’s sign-stealing scandal. But this time, one prominent member of the Astros got the opportunity to respond to remarks made by a White Sox reliever.
Following the end of the ALDS game 4 between the Houston Astros and the Chicago White Sox, a game in which the Astros won 10-1, Houston’s Carlos Correa was finally able to address some comments that were previously made by Chicago’s Ryan Tepera.
Needless to say, he wasn’t having any of it:

Houston shortstop Carlos Correa responds to Ryan Tepera’s cheating remarks after Astros win
Earlier in the ALDS, Tepera sounded off on the Astros, saying “they’ve had a reputation of doing some sketchy stuff over there.”
Interestingly enough, Tepera is a native of Houston. On top of that, the 33-year-old pitcher attended Sam Houston State University in (relatively) nearby Huntsville. During the ALDS, Tepera took the mound twice against his hometown team, in Games 2 and 3. In those two appearances combined, Tepera faced a total of nine batters and recorded three strikeouts.
But it’s fair to say that Tepera’s words were more of a storyline for the ALDS than his time on the mound happened to be. His remarks and references to the sign-stealing scandal certainly drew plenty of attention and caught plenty of scrutiny.
It’s not surprising to see multiple members of the Astros fire back at his comments with Correa now becoming the latest to respond.
And of course, the Astros were able to get the last laugh against Tepera and the White Sox. Houston is now headed to its fifth consecutive ALCS while the White Sox have been eliminated from the postseason.
